Ginza Teppanyaki in Melbourne

Hi guys! Today I'm back with another restaurant review, this time it's of Ginza Teppanyaki.

Located in China Town right in the heart of the Melbourne CBD, the restaurant boasts authentic 'teppan' (iron plate) 'yaki' (fried) Japanese food.

The food was pricy, but immaculately prepared before your eyes on an iron griddle.

This sign could be seen on your way out, rather than on the way in. A little dodgy!

We sat on a table near the window and were given bibs by Yukata-clad (Yukata is a traditional Japanese summer garment) waitresses.

A waitress in Yukata.

We ordered some Asahi beer on tap.

They had a fully stocked bar.

The menu had vegetarian options as well as seafood, red meat, rice and eggs as components.

You order a set menu from a few options and sit back and relax as multiple courses are served to you.

Here comes the part that distinguishes this Teppanyaki restaurant from a normal dining experience...

After the fun was over, we left the empty restaurant as it was closing time on a weekday.

You can find Ginza Teppanyaki at 139 Little Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000.
